Varsity Finishes Season 8-8

Posted Friday, May 13, 2016 by Tom Rooney
After a long hard season, the Colts can hold their heads up as they finished the season with an 8-8 record.  The Suffolk County Division 1 league is the toughest public school lacrosse league in the country.  This year the parity in the league was amazing and the schedule becomes a guantlet that every school has to try and solve.  The Colts had one tough stretch in the season losing to Smithtown East 13-12 and Walt Whitman 9-8 which proved to be the difference in not making the playoffs.  Along the way the Colts knocked off two playoff teams, Northport and Hills East.  The West Seniors are a great bunch and will be missed, but there are many key components coming back in 2017.
